O hai everyone! It's Moorea again, and I'm back to help with author's struggles. Today, we're tackling another ridiculously aggravating topic that often crops up during writing...drumroll please... WRITER'S BLOCK.
Writer's block is described as several things (my little brother says "it's god awful"...haha); most people describe it as that feeling where you're trying to write something, and no matter what, you just can't seem to string those words together. It's often made me throw my pencil across the room in frustration and anger. And that's completely normal, too.
As I've said before, if you have writer's block:
1. Try listening to some music (and hey, dancing and singing along help me).
2. Walk away, have a cookie, and go back to it later.
3. Call up your friend and laugh like you'll die tomorrow and this is your last chance to laugh.
4. If you have a pet, play with it. If you have a fish, watch it swim (just don't press your nose against the glass..you'll make it flip out). If you don't have either, annoy/play with your sibling. If you don't have any of those, go exercise.
5. Jump around and spaz out.
6. Look up "Scarlet Takes A Tumble" on Youtube and click the first video.
7. Do something FUN.
It will eventually leave you, so don't fret. And remember: good writers are hard to find. If you're reading this, you're probably one of them.
TTFN,
Moorea
